Alfridomsa achieves ISO 9001:1400 Environmental Management Certification

At the same time, it recertifies the ISO 9001-2015 Quality Standard, reinforcing its commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and sustainable innovation.

Santo Domingo.- Almacenes y Frigoríficos Dominicanos, S.A., Alfridomsa, achieves the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management certification and recertification under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard, reinforcing its position as a company committed to sustainable innovation, continuous improvement, responsible development and preservation of the environment.

The ISO 14001:2015 certification granted by the Spanish company AENOR validates the rigorous standards in environmental management, highlighting its ability to implement efficient processes that reduce environmental impact in each of the operations, promoting sustainable and responsible practices.

Likewise, the recertification under the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard, since 2014, highlights the firm commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction and the continuous improvement of our services and products.

The rigorous audit was in charge of AENOR, who delivered the new certificates by its director in the Dominican Republic, Ariel Espejo, being received by Gina Victoriano Collado, CEO of Alfridomsa along with some of the company’s executives.

“At Alfridomsa, dedication to quality and care for the environment is paramount in everything we do, effectively integrating environmental management processes, quality and continuous improvement in our organizational structure, reducing the ecological footprint and promoting sustainability at every step of our value chain,” said Gina Victoriano, Managing Director.

Ariel Espejo stressed that “this new certification, added to the renewal of the certification with ISO 14001:2015 is a demonstration of the commitment to excellence of Alfridomsa”, while emphasizing that from AENOR seek a rigorous and independent audit that generates trust between organizations and people.

Sustainability is a fundamental pillar of Alfridomsa’s business strategy.

“Each certification highlights the result of the hard work and commitment of our team to promote responsible and efficient business practices, maintaining high standards in our processes and ensuring the delivery of reliable products and services, meeting the expectations of our customers,” said Victoriano.

Other certifications that the company holds are: BASC Certification (Business Alliance For Secure Commerce), Certification as Authorized Economic Operators (OAS) issued by the Directorate General of Customs.

Likewise, he is a member of the Dominican Association of Logistics Centers and Operators (ASOLOGIC), the Spanish Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic, the American Chamber of Commerce in DR, WCA (Leading the world in Logistic partnering)the Dominican Association of Air and Maritime Cargo (ADACAM) and the Ecotourism Cluster of Constance, among others.
