IBT Group’s management of the Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin Hospital Complexes in Peru is accredited by the JCI

IBT Group, the managing company of the Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin Hospital Complexes, has been promoting the JCI accreditation of the Complexes since their opening. Thus, at the end of 2023, they obtained the accreditation of both hospitals and along with the re-accreditations received in 2022 for the polyclinics and the residential unit, they form the first Hospital Complexes in Peru accredited by the JCI.

IBT Group, a consortium of companies in charge of managing the Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin Hospital Complexes of the Social Security of Peru (EsSalud) under the modality of Public Private Association, Bata Blanca, has obtained the accreditation of all its services by the Joint Commission International, making both complexes the first in Peru to be accredited. This recognition directly benefits the experience of care of 500,000 patients assigned to EsSalud, who enjoy this public service.

All the care and non-care workers, led by the Medical Directors of each hospital, played a key role in the entire JCI accreditation process, both during preparation and during evaluation. The experience and knowledge of all workers in both Hospital Complexes, His ability to work as a team and his commitment to continuous improvement were key in ensuring that the hospitals meet the stringent requirements of the Joint Commission International.

The polyclinics, hospitals and home care units have become reference points for health management, infrastructure and innovation throughout the region, reaffirming IBT Group’s success in hospital complexes. Achievements are shown below.

• The Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin hospitals are the only public service hospitals in Peru under the APP modality of Bata Blanca to have JCI accreditation. In addition, in the Americas are 2 of 10 hospitals to have the Gold Seal of Approval®.

• The Alberto Barton and Guillermo Kaelin Primary Care Centers are the only ones in the Americas to have JCI accreditation.

• The HomeCare Unit of both Complexes is 1 of 7 units that have JCI accreditation throughout America.

The Alberto Barton del Callao Hospital Complex, managed by the company Callao Salud SAC belonging to IBT Group, is part of the Social Security of Peru – EsSalud to the Social Network Sabogal. It is made up of a polyclinic, a hospital and the home unit, managed under the modality of Public Private Association – APP Bata Blanca – and serve a total of 250,000 regular insured persons of the Peruvian Social Security since April 2014 who start their activities.

About the Guillermo Kaelin Hospital Complex

The Guillermo Kaelin Hospital Complex in Villa María del Triunfo, managed by the company Villa María del Triunfo Salud SAC belonging to IBT Group, is part of the Social Security of Peru – EsSalud to the Rebagliati Pension Network. It consists of a Polyclinic, a Hospital and the Home Unit, managed under the modality of Public Private Association – APP Bata Blanca – and serve a total of 250,000 policyholders and rightholders of Peruvian Social Security since April 2014 who begin their activities.
