IBT Group receives double recognition for its commitment to environmental sustainability and social inclusion
Lima, September 5, 2024 – IBT Group, through its companies Callao Salud and Villa María de Triunfo Salud, has received two important awards that highlight its commitment to sustainability and inclusion; The Ministry of the Environment and the Integrative Enterprises organization, reinforce the company’s purpose in contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of Peruvians.
Environmental Sustainability: Fourth Star in the Carbon Footprint
The Barton and Kaelin Hospital Complexes, managed by Callao Salud and VMT Salud, companies of IBT Group, have received the Environmental Sustainability Award, awarded by the Peruvian Carbon Footprint program of the Ministry of the Environment, after getting the fourth star of this programme. This recognition highlights IBT Group’s efforts to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, a significant step forward in its commitment to environmental sustainability.
Callao Salud and Villa María del Triunfo Salud are 2 of the 13 companies that reached the fourth level and the only two in the health sector to achieve the fourth star. This recognition reinforces IBT Group’s sustainable commitment and, in addition to its upcoming actions such as continuing to drive solid waste management, energy reduction, reforestation and CO2 capture projects, as well as other compensation initiatives, will help achieve the carbon neutrality goal by 2030.
Social inclusion: recognition Integrative enterprises
Callao Salud, a company of IBT Group, has been recognized as an Integrator Company in the category of medium and large companies for its labor inclusion practices, specifically for its focus on the employment of people with disabilities and women in situations of mild and moderate violence. This recognition is awarded for the second consecutive year by the Pan-American Development Foundation (PADF), in collaboration with Confiep, CEDRO and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
The recognition aims to encourage entrepreneurial practices that promote the inclusion of vulnerable groups. This achievement, following the recognition received in 2023 in the same category, consolidates IBT Group’s commitment to inclusion and equal employment opportunities.
These awards confirm the strength of IBT Group in its core pillars of sustainability and inclusion, promoting responsible business practices that have a positive impact on both the environment and society.
