Alberto Barton Hospital achieves accreditation Joint Comission International
EsSalud’s hospital operates under the modality of Public-Private Partnership (APP), “Bata Blanca”, and is managed by a consortium led by IBT Group.
The Alberto Leonardo Barton Thompson Public Hospital, managed by IBT Group, has obtained the Gold Seal of Approval of the Joint Commission International for Accreditation for the Hospital Center by demonstrating its continued compliance with international JCI standards, making it the first non-specialized public hospital in Peru to be accredited by this institution. The Golden Seal of Approval is a symbol of quality that reflects the organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective care for its patients.
During the week of November 20-24, the Alberto Barton Hospital received the evaluation team of the JCI who, after conducting an evaluation of all the services and areas of the center, certified through its more than 1500 measurable elements, the safety and quality of the processes it provides to its patients.
The Alberto Barton Hospital has devoted significant efforts to meet JCI standards, including the implementation of sound clinical practices, ongoing staff training and investment in cutting-edge technology. This accreditation not only validates the hospital’s past efforts, but also indicates its future commitment to excellence in health care.
Dr. Dante Arce Chirinos, director of the Hospital, mentions: “Achieving JCI accreditation marks a new stage for all of us. It encourages us to continue working for patient safety and to make things better. Our country deserves a better public health system and this accreditation proves it”.
The accreditation of the hospital together with the previous two achieved in 2022 of the Polyclinic and the Home Unit make the Alberto Barton Hospital Complex the only one that provides comprehensive care to its 250,000 members fully accredited by an independent and global institution recognized as the Joint Commission International.
IBT Group President José Ramon Brea recognizes the work of the entire team involved in achieving this important recognition. They, along with our patients, promote a culture of quality and safety.
