Casabito Constanza reforestation day

CONSTANZA – The companies Alfridomsa, IBT and Parque del Prado, in compliance with their objectives focused on corporate social responsibility and betting on positive changes in the environment, held a reforestation day in the area of Casabito Constanza.

The event was carried out in coordination and support with the Ministry of the Environment, the Environmental Council and the 6th. Constance Hunters Battalion.

Some 2,000 trees of the Western Pine, Sabina and Manacla Palm species were planted at the site in an effort to continue the regeneration of the ecosystem and the conservation of the area’s natural resources.

In addition to planting trees, the company Alfridomsa and the Ministry of the Environment have committed to the conditioning of surrounding areas with the maintenance of the zone; works that will include repairs and painting of the various viewpoints, as well as the placement of solid waste recycling bins.

They urged the continuous planting of trees to protect water sources, recover the forest mass and thus stop the degradation of the ecosystem.

For several years, these important reforestation days have been held to conserve biodiversity and mitigate the effects of climate change, as well as to motivate people to put into practice the three “3Rs”: Reduce, reuse and recycle.
In recent years, these companies, together with the collaboration of various institutions, have planted more than 42,000 trees.
