Hospital Doctor Ney Arias Lora of Dominican Republic is now a Teaching Hospital
The Hospital Traumatológico Doctor Ney Arias Lora received from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT) the certification through Resolution Number 10-2023 which accredits it as a University Teaching Hospital, after a unanimous vote of the National Council of Higher Education, Science and Technology (CONESCYT).

The Ney Arias Lora Hospital, in the year 2022, opened the Medical Residency Program for various specialties such as Emergency and Disaster Medicine, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation and others.

Likewise, the health center is the pioneer in the country in initiating the subspecialties of Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine, Spine Surgery and External Fixation and Bone Reconstruction.

The director of the trauma center, Dr. Julio Landrón, thanked the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), Franklin García Fermín, as well as the National Higher Council, for the evaluations and orientations carried out so that the Ney Arias Lora Hospital received this accreditation as Dr. Ney Arias Lora Traumatology University Teaching Hospital.

The center’s Academic Program was designed by a team of highly trained professionals from the hospital, the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) and its Medical Residency Program and the Dominican Medical Association.

This hospital, which is part of the Ciudad de la Salud project, was built and equipped by IBT Group in 2010.
