IBT Group wins bid for construction of two hospitals in Peru

Lima, Peru – IBT Group was selected by Peru’s Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) to develop the specialized hospital projects of the Social Security – EsSalud in the northern regions of the country, which will benefit more than 1.6 million policyholders in Piura, Tumbes and Chimbote (Ancash).

The project located in Piura includes the design, financing, construction, equipment, operation and maintenance of a specialized hospital that will benefit 1,116,559 insured persons in the Piura and Tumbes regions; while the Chimbote project has the same scope and will benefit 531,966 insured persons in the department of Ancash. The Chimbote project also includes a polyclinic of increasing complexity and the construction of a temporary hospital for the continuity of health services during the project execution period.

Both projects include, under the gray coat PPP model, the acquisition and replacement of equipment, maintenance of infrastructure and provision of general services and support services such as laundry, food, security, solid waste management and handling, cleaning, maintenance, equipment acquisition and maintenance, and intra-hospital logistics. In addition, three services are available in green coats: hemodialysis, clinical laboratory and imaging.
