New Headquarters of the Cariari Health Area
The project of the Cariari Health Area, located within the district of Pococí, is in the process of construction by the PPC-IBT Consortium, which will be financed by the CCSS/BCR Real Estate Trust 2017.
The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) selected, through a bidding process, the consortium to carry out the preliminary project, design, construction, equipment, commissioning and maintenance, as part of this real estate trust.
The Cariari Health Area is a Type 2 health area of the first level of care within the establishments that make up the CCSS health network.
The project, which will have an investment of approximately US$ 14.9 million, is located in the eastern end of the country, within a property with an area of 49,903 m2. The work will cover 6,712 m2 and will have services that will benefit the residents of this district, mostly agricultural workers.
This modern work has complementary services such as X-rays, clinical laboratory and sterile processing, which will support to provide a better service to patients in the areas of emergency, outpatient care, dentistry and medical specialties.
The design of this health center is carried out under sanitary concepts, contributing to the well-being and improvement of the healing process, while patients and companions have a comfortable experience, where functional and operational processes reduce unnecessary routes.
An exhaustive analysis was made, where the climate of the area was considered to take into account for the design and arrangement of urban elements, including the bus stop and the covered walkway to the main access.
The work will be in operation at the end of the quarter 2024 and will have the maintenance of the structure and equipment by the consortium for two years from the completion of the construction and equipment.
